A Journey

AAEAAQAAAAAAAAE-AAAAJGY4MTE0Zjc4LTJmOWUtNDE5MS04ZmZmLWYyNmI4OGZmYTVmMgInnovation is a journey which is rarely simple and never happens without passion, conviction, and tenacity, all characteristics that Marie Wallace has in spades. Marie, an honored TED Talk speaker, has been a partner of the IBM jStart team for more than a decade and has helped to bring a number of innovations to our IBM clients. A couple of years ago Marie came to us with one such innovation; a system that transformed social and collaboration data into an Enterprise Graph onto which she could apply a variety of network analysis. The first solution she wanted to build on the enterprise graph was an engagement and reputation analysis system that she called the Personal Social Dashboard.

Over the last two years the Personal Social Dashboard has gone from an idea bubbling in Screen Shot 2015-08-19 at 3.16.01 AMMarie’s head to a system that is now being used by more than 20,000 IBMers and has just been released as an IBM offering delivered by IBM’s Collaboration Services practice and hosted in IBM Softlayer. Marie recently won the “Best of IBM” award for her analytics work and since jStart was there from the beginning we wanted to share the video interview where Marie tells her personal story of Project Breadcrumb and what it took to turn idea into reality.

If you are interested in learning more about this project, you can find out more information on our jStart engagement analytics webpage or contact us if you would like to talk with us.
